All Visionmax systems consist of a Master computer
that controls the entire system and a variable number
(up to a maximum of 64) of Slave computers that are
used to render the images. All of the computers are
delivered with pre-installed NOVA Infinity multi-channel
visualization software.
|
Master
-The Master computer is used to control all of the
software functionality (see "Software"
section) and to send image processing information
to each Slave.
Slaves
-Each Slave is responsible for rendering part of
the overall image that is to be displayed while
the NOVA Infinity software ensures that the multiple
images are overlapped, edge-blended and displayed
as a single, cohesive whole.
Screen
-Visionmax systems can project and edge blend multiple
channels through multiple projectors on to a wide
variety of screen shapes and sizes including Planar,
spherical and cylindrical screens, and CAVEs.
These systems can be both front and rear projected. |

Imaging media, including TV, VCR,
Cameras and DVD, can all be connected to the Master computer
via an image allocation device. NOVA Infinity selects
and controls the input from each source, allocates the
images, sends them to the display device and then handles
the projection.
In circumstances where there is only one input
source, it is connected directly to the Master computer.
Real-time 3D Graphics, AVI and MPEG files are saved
to the Master computer's hard disk and directly managed
by NOVA Infinity without need of an external source. |
